Born in Moscow, the 30-year-old has lived intermittently in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania since 1996 and graduated in political science from Freie Universität Berlin in 2013. During her studies, Reem Alabali-Radovan worked in Berlin as a research assistant at the German Orient Institute and as a country desk officer at the Near and Middle East Association (NUMOV). (NUMOV). Since 2015, the center of her life has moved back to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, where she worked in various functions at the Office for Migration and Refugee Affairs of the State Office for Internal Administration of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in the initial reception center Nostorf-Horst and the field office Schwerin/OT Stern Buchholz. For the past year, Alabali-Radovan has been the state government's integration officer and previously headed the office of the state integration officer at the Ministry of Social Affairs, Integration and Equality.
